Rotary Celebrates Literacy Day

Distributes books to Head Start Program

President Linda shares one of her favorite books!!

Derby/Shelton Rotary Club members Linda Holmes-Hannon, Diane Stroman and Pat Tarasovic demonstrated the Club's strong commitment to literacy and education with a Literacy Day visit to Team's Head Start program bearing a large supply of donated books for use by the children in the program.

The Club is no stranger to the world of literacy and education. The Club annually provides dictionaries to third graders in Derby and Shelton Schools, reads in the schools as part of the Connecticut Loves to Read program and provides scholarships to graduates of Derby and Shelton High Schools.
